Site News #7 – Putlocker Welcome back , Multiupload Goodbye

Posted by on Feb 11th, 2013
Site News

Main points : Putlocker coming back and Multiupload going away , Reason behind the decision & How to download perfectly from Putlocker.

Note : whoever is having trouble with Putlocker – you can visit the forum or you can visit our irc and i’ll be glad to help you.

Putlocker coming back and Multiupload going away

We will be using Putlocker instead of Multiupload as Putlocker provides Online streaming option for people who arent interested into downloading that movie/show OR got bandwidth limitations(as putlocker re-encode movie/show in a smaller size that you would be able to stream it without cutting every now and then) and if you want to download it for later viewing then you would be able to do so through their direct download (for both free and premium users).

Reason behind the decision

Most of the people think that we control the Multiupload “Direct download” feature which we doesnt have any control over it, yet people keep on asking the same question in the comments and in the chatbox also some people asks us about the non-existence of Putlocker which we doesnt have any control over it either.

How to download perfectly from Putlocker

Just follow these simple steps and you’ll be able to download from Putlocker perfectly fine(I’ve tried it personally and works).
***USE AT YOUR OWN RISK AS WE ARENT THE CREATORS OF THE SCRIPT***
1 – Install Greasemonkey for Firefox or TamperMonkey for Google Chrome.
2 – Visit the script HERE.
3 – You will find INSTALL on the top right – Click on it then wait 5 seconds and choose install.
4 – Now visit any Putlocker link and you will find “Download >> Original – Stream – Mobile” just above the “Choose Method of Access”.
5 – Choose one of the 3 options and Enjoy downloading.

oh come on!! multiupload was the best option… really easy and multiple downloads at a time… well… ok it is your page and you know what it is best for the page… thank.

    • ARMT Feb 11th, 2013 at 2:35 am

What i’ve done mainly for the visitors so it is actually our blog – tell me whats your problem with putlocker and i’ll try to help you with it 🙂

      • adrian cruz Feb 11th, 2013 at 2:41 am

there is no problem! i just loved multiupload, i use netload, rapidgator and multiupload, but it’s ok. the blog is awesome

        • ARMT Feb 11th, 2013 at 2:42 am

Adrian , I’d like to request from you to give the mentioned way above a shot on putlocker and tell me how thats not a 1-Click hoster (after trying the script).

  2. Robotnik Feb 11th, 2013 at 2:39 am

Multiupload was the only host that I was interested in too, thought it was tons better than rapidshare when you guys added it as replacement, not sure why you would want to push putlocker which is a mess the majority of the time over multiload but i will thank you for all your hard work in the past this site was really handy for me.

    • ARMT Feb 11th, 2013 at 2:41 am

just what i said to adrian – tell me why it is messy and whats wrong with it and i’ll try to help you with it , because what i see is you & adrian giving judges on the host without trying the mentioned way to make it a real 1-Click host.

  3. Robotnik Feb 11th, 2013 at 2:44 am

I dont even know why you would need that method i just click download in the bottom right hand corner and it downloads the mp4 for me so dunno why that method is needed tbh. However its not ease that is the problem for some reason putlocker is 10x slower than multiload ever was (for me multiload was the fastest method ive come across for free users).

  4. tsuelue Feb 11th, 2013 at 2:46 am

multiupload was the only host i ever downloaded from, because the direct download feature is unbeatable. full bandwidth, every time. I don´t understand your reasoning why you abandon multiupload at all.

but hey, there´s always torrents, so … ;/

    • ARMT Feb 11th, 2013 at 2:50 am

Multiupload getting unbearable for the editors because of the Direct-Download isnt consistent (main reason we had Multiupload) but if you are that critic why not go to bluray movies and look at most of them within 6 ~ 18h from their posting time and tell me if you’ll be able to download the 3 ~ 6 parts from multiupload in a row with full speed or you will have to wait around. With putlocker you wont need to wait or to waste time with it.

Ya there’s always torrents and always will be but if you would like a non-secure connection go ahead and we are all about sharing so whatever you like and have a nice day :).

  5. Robotnik Feb 11th, 2013 at 2:50 am

If you have some affiliate with the hosts then i fully understand the multiload ditching as most people would use the direct download link i think (when available) its just a shame for those of us who loved the super quick downloads i used to download about 5 things a day from here from it and took 10 mins in total! was a dream.

No worry of virus’s and other crap you get from torrents too tsuelue!

    • ARMT Feb 11th, 2013 at 2:55 am

I can assure to you that this move was for the “Free Users” benefit – i reckon that you are talking about Tv shows downloading – that might be the case but for bluray and big games , last thing you would do is to download from Multiupload as you would have to wait couple of hours between each file as the “Direct Download” feature isnt consistent – you may find it enabled on that file and you may not find it enabled – so why gamble when you can have stable service yet gives you direct download 100% of the time :).

Hope you got the idea from the change and i repeat again this move was not about affiliating as Putlocker is just as free for the uploader as the downloader.

  6. adrian cruz Feb 11th, 2013 at 2:58 am

oh come on, ARMT is doing a great job and i am waiting for the walking dead, im whit the blog since oneddl but, really, you have your reasons to put down multiupload and well… it’s not the only host

    • ARMT Feb 11th, 2013 at 3:00 am

if you are with us from the start then you’d know that our decisions goes in the benefit of the free users as we like sharing :).

  7. Robotnik Feb 11th, 2013 at 2:58 am

yeah sometimes the direct download link wasent there but all you had to do was refresh the page a few times (ok sometimes 10 times) and it would appear, far less problems than i have with any other hosts.

but yeah its only tv shows i really download or single link multiload movies.

im sure someone else out there uses multiload and understand you have to do what is best for the majority of users not the minority and thank you for all your hard work.

    • ARMT Feb 11th, 2013 at 3:04 am

ya you are talking from the perspective of 2GB- downloaders atm , Tv-Shows and 1-Click – we had to make a good balance between 2GB- downloaders and 2GB+ downloaders , i am getting low speeds with Uploaded , Rapidgator & Putlocker but when i use German VPN – i get my full speed :).

  8. sam Feb 11th, 2013 at 3:01 am

multiupload was amazing. i always use their links to download to my computer and it was fast as fuck and no limits. it was too good to be true.

    • ARMT Feb 11th, 2013 at 3:01 am

if you enjoyed Multiupload then i am sure you will enjoy putlocker – give it a go :).

  9. Bullet Feb 11th, 2013 at 3:05 am

its wrong..i have to use proxy in my college..and only multiupload worked with it… now what will i do ??:(

    • Robotnik Feb 11th, 2013 at 3:11 am

we should have all been more vocal when we seen people complain about multiupload and fought its corner 🙁

    • ARMT Feb 11th, 2013 at 3:19 am

I dont know how the system works in your college but if the proxy you are currently using works only on multiupload – why wont you change it to a better proxy that works on all ??

  10. Bullet Feb 11th, 2013 at 3:21 am

i tried…but failed….all other file hosting sites show wrong ip notification apart from multiupload… 🙁

    • ARMT Feb 11th, 2013 at 3:22 am

do you have the time to get on forum or irc so i can know your problem and maybe i have solution for that.

  11. httan Feb 11th, 2013 at 3:22 am

Thanks for putlocker idea, and it’s fast, instant download, multiple download at the same time, 1-Click download, support for resuming downloads and support for download accelerators, seriously it’s AWESOME with that script, I loved it.

Thanks again ARMT and thanks goes to other uploaders.

    • Robotnik Feb 11th, 2013 at 3:24 am

      lol seems legit.

      • ARMT Feb 11th, 2013 at 3:26 am

I suspect abit of a manipulation-suspection of that reply but if i wanted to manipulate users – i would’ve done that already and wouldnt reply on each of you guys.

  12. EEKMAN Feb 11th, 2013 at 3:31 am

I guess I’ll have to adapt, but I really liked Multiupload, it was the most efficient and simple filehost.

    Just letting you know.

    Thanks for everything regardless.

  13. Jackie Feb 11th, 2013 at 3:51 am

I understand the issue. However putlocker download rate is more than 2x slower than multiupload.

  14. Katie_Mead Feb 11th, 2013 at 4:04 am

I’m also sorry to see Multiupload go, as it (Multiupload itself, not including the range of other hosts that might be offered through it) was the only one of the recent options that allowed simultaneous downloads for non-members. Added to that, Multiupload transmitted to me at my top speed at any time of day, while Netload only does so at night, and Putlocker is nowhere near as fast (streaming is not an option here, my download is too slow). I would ask that you consider Multiupload as an excellent option for downloaders (even if not for uploaders) next time one of the cyberlockers you use becomes unusable for any reason and needs to be replaced.

    • Katie_Mead Feb 11th, 2013 at 4:08 am

Oh, wait, Putlocker also allows simultaneous downloads, so that’s a plus.

    • ARMT Feb 11th, 2013 at 4:09 am

Message me on the forum and i will give you free vpns in the US , UK , Canada & Netherlands. i think with 4 countries you just cant go wrong and if you like the vpn idea (being protective and gives very-decent speeds) then you can spare 3 ~ 5 bucks every month and get a secured paid vpn for own usage :).

  15. Rhyz Feb 11th, 2013 at 4:44 am

Fairenough, i have to admit what i loved about this site was that you zipped it using 1.5GB parts which made downloading from Multiupload abreeze as you would only have to do three or so. However, i have admit for some reason on ddlvalley the 2/3rd link are prone to not having DD Links. But, i did find that refreshing/waiting sorted them out and got links most of the time. Another good site **** seems to have it pretty lucky with there 8 part 1GB multiupload links being very consistent so i have to say its a shame you guys wont be doing them anymore. Still ace site guys, if you change your mind that would be great! =) But hey if you dont thats kool keep up the good work =D

    • ARMT Feb 11th, 2013 at 4:48 am

Thanks for understanding the decision , give putlocker a go and i am sure you’ll like it :).

      • Rhyz Feb 11th, 2013 at 5:15 am

Just Tried that script thing and man it works awesomely! Very quick and reliable as ever (unless the script somehow gets blacklisted!) but even as a free user was able to get top speed as well as simultaneous DL’s. Nice one ARMT, wicked find on that new method!

  16. Bullet Feb 11th, 2013 at 6:45 am

    The script not working..help?

  17. Renan Feb 11th, 2013 at 8:06 am

I used the script and got almost the same usual speed I had on multiupload !!

    Thanks!

Just a question: if I dont use the script do I will still get 1MB download speed?

  18. thark Feb 11th, 2013 at 8:36 am

Thanks for the info – i’ve followed your instructions and installed the Putlocker downloader – it seems VERY fast compared to previous speeds.. However, the files downloaded have no name other than an alphanumeric code title (American Dad is E3A07CC93DEAF9C7), and i’m having to tell a piece of software to recognise it, rather than just double clicking on the file.

Am i doing something wrong or is this the new status quo? thanks anyway, if it’s what’s necessary to keep a good site great then so be it. Multiupluad has been solid but have often been put off downloading a file in parts if not all the MU direct links are there..

  19. Elsa Feb 11th, 2013 at 8:57 am

Okay, tried it and it’s working, but: REALLY??? Nothing beats Multiupload for me. It’s a pity it’s gone without any need for it to be gone. But > your site, your decision. Thanks a lot for your ‘service’ anyway and keep up the good work!

  20. Andy Feb 11th, 2013 at 9:16 am

Hi guys. Are there any other websites out there that will include the Multiupload links because I can’t be dealing with Putlocker. Multiupload was a joy to use for TV downloading – infinitely quicker than all the others. Rapidgator and the others are so slow, it’s painful. I’m so gutted…over the years, all the fast ones keep getting axed. Why can’t both Multiupload AND Putlocker be included? That has been the case for many of the shows up until now… 🙁

  21. TonyMontana24 Feb 11th, 2013 at 10:06 am

I think it’s a good decision. I loved MultiUpload’s direct download option but most of the time it was just missing. Putlocker is faster for me than MU ever was. You can also download as a free user on full speed and multiple files at once so I don’t know why people are complaining. Plus, you can simply stream an episode or a movie without hassle and really fast. Like what’s Andy’s problem? He can’t be “dealing with Putlocker”? What does that even mean? Anyway, great site guys, keep it up!

  22. studo Feb 11th, 2013 at 10:36 am

that’s pretty ridiculous to completely remove multiupload. Obviously TONS of people liked and used it. It IS the fastest and the EASIEST for simple 1-click downloads. If a link was not there for a download, as said, wait a second or two and refresh and it will eventually show up. Still way easier than having to run scripts and install – blah blah blah, to use another hosting service that still WONT BE AS FAST.

why remove it just to push a different, inferior service? sounds like you got some deal with putlocker. Putlocker was good for streaming and a download when multiupload did not work, but has NEVER been as FAST as Multiupload. Never. Ever.

Because a few people don’t like it for whatever reason, you’re punishing those that do use it? Well of course when it’s running smoothly for the majority of us, we are not going to complain or bring attention to it… you may think it’s a problem because a small minority or the most vocal, but your removing the service most are happy with.

you saying ‘give pulocker a try you’ll like it’ doesn’t change the fact that you are removing the best option for most of us in favor of lesser option. I, and I am sure others, have you used, and do currently sometimes still use, putlocker, but that doesnt mean we don’t see multiupload as the superior option. Because we do, and it is.

  23. Perlazeze Feb 11th, 2013 at 10:38 am

Thanks for the information and for the helping! There is just a little problem with PUTLOCKER, the file size information is smaller then the original but just the information because when I download it the file size is ok (I think the file size that I showed there is the size of the streaming file not the original downloading file). Thanks for the great job, the PUTLOCKER seem to be ok. 😉

  24. Nikko Rafael Feb 11th, 2013 at 11:04 am

thankyou for choosing putlocker. It offers full speeds to me. i havent tried download multiupload so am glad to have u putlocker in choice.

  25. D3lta Feb 11th, 2013 at 11:15 am

Here, Multiupload was never the fastest, all the links except for the multiupload one would show up in my download manager. Putlockers allways worked, on my phone or normal. And loves jdownloader more than multiupload. The links on MU where allmost random at a time. Having 3 links on putlocker and the 4th not was REALLY irritating. The way I see it, more control, more speed, more flexible, pretty damn good decision.

  26. studo Feb 11th, 2013 at 11:19 am

putlocker was already a choice when you chose Multiupload, because MULTIuplaod was just that, an option to download direct from multiupload, or one of the several other hosting sites (bayfiles, rapidgator, netload, putlocker, etc..) pulocker was available to you after clicking multiupload. Still doesnt make sense to remove the option for so many extra download sites, when you didn’t really ADD putlocker, it was already there, you just moved it to its own direct link.

    • ARMT Feb 11th, 2013 at 1:22 pm

if you were following Putlocker – you will see that last 4 ~ 6 days Multiupload doesnt upload to Putlocker and that happened before multiple times so Putlocker is almost as invisible for Multiupload.

  27. SaGo Feb 11th, 2013 at 11:56 am

    I will miss Multiupload.
I mainly use .mkv files so I can watch my favourite shows on TV in high quality.
If I want to download them via Putlocker I have to download and install some prog first. That is something I won’t ever do.
Multiupload was just perfect. You could even download your multipart episodes simultaneously with decent dl speed. All without installing a single shit.
Goodbye Multiupload, I won’t give a shit about you Putlocker.

    • ARMT Feb 11th, 2013 at 1:27 pm

Script just something that would give you options if you want to dl stream / mobile but without you can download the direct normally without any problem.

      • SaGo Feb 11th, 2013 at 3:46 pm

If you try to download direct normally Putlocker lets you just dl some strange .exe I suspect to be nothing good.
I really don’t know why you decided to remove MU completely. To add Putlocker might be a good addition for people who don’t want to dl and stream instead. But that’s just not an option for me.

        • ARMT Feb 11th, 2013 at 3:47 pm

SaGo , you are trying with IDM/JD or Normal browser Downloader ?

          • SaGo Feb 11th, 2013 at 4:10 pm

Firefox. But I just found out what is the only thing you have to click on. For there are several areas on Putlocker that say ‘Download File’ but only one is the correct one while the others lead you to some file that is named like the episode clicked on( for example DDLValley.eu_American.Dad.S08E11.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION.mkv) but with an .exe at the end and the files size is only 100-200 kb. Multiupload did not try to screw people like that. But okay, if everything else works fine with Putlocker, maybe I will give it a shot.

  28. das Feb 11th, 2013 at 1:31 pm

Multiupload direct links were the best ..1+MB speed always. Shame to see them gone.

  29. a guy Feb 11th, 2013 at 3:25 pm

MU and PL have been great since the death of RS, haven’t got another premium account yet.

Thanks for the greasemonkey script btw, I have never had any issues or waiting to download from putlocker for some reason, I think this might be due to noscript.

  30. Stella Feb 11th, 2013 at 3:25 pm

Multiupload was the best. I don’t think it’s a good idea to completely let it go…

  31. ARMT Feb 11th, 2013 at 4:24 pm

@SaGo , http://i.imgur.com/6823Aif.png – i guess you’ve click on download as Free User (which states above it “Download faster with our downloader”) so thats clearly their Downloader you are referring to – Click on “Continue as a free user” and you will be good to either download or stream the episode :).

  32. Ian Feb 11th, 2013 at 5:36 pm

Guys, Re-considering (putlocker) again is a brilliant move and i for one appreciate that, (multiupload) Sucks i was using it to watch my tv-shows on (putlocker) but lately i can’t recall finding it between the displayed hosts most of the time.

    ~~ DDlValley Keeps amazing me ! 🙂
Keep up the good work guys.

  33. RodL Feb 11th, 2013 at 9:43 pm

Multiupload was the BEST replacement for Rapidshare – full speed with resume support for free users. Putlocker might work for those who prefer low quality / small files, but I will have to stop using DDL Valley and look elsewhere now 🙁

Anyway, can you guys consider using Expressleech? Again, for free users, there’s full speed with resume support for proper HD files. Please give it a thought!

    • ARMT Feb 11th, 2013 at 9:45 pm

Low quality and high quality – both can enjoy Putlocker.

  34. RodL Feb 11th, 2013 at 9:55 pm

I just tried using Putlocker with the script you suggested and I get a message saying ‘You have exceed the daily download limit for your country’

  35. das Feb 12th, 2013 at 10:19 am

@RodL, it also has integrates subs ..that’s a big + 😀 Putlocker works very well after all. Thanks Guys!

  36. morgan Feb 12th, 2013 at 3:00 pm

I honestly hate the fact you guys removed Multiupload. I don’t see why you couldn’t keep it since the other options you have are incredibly, incredibly slow. I tried the script for Putlocker and not only did it take an hour, but it kept cutting my files off (only downloaded 1/3 of the episode). Is there any chance you could continue using Multiupload or do you know of a place elsewhere that uses it?

  37. behelit Feb 12th, 2013 at 6:22 pm

why not continue using multiupload and putlocker? Im on a tablet with android, and people with android cant install Greasemonkey or tampermonkey putlocker is slow.

  38. Timmy Feb 12th, 2013 at 7:47 pm

Thanks for bringing PL back =]

  39. RodL Feb 12th, 2013 at 9:45 pm

I’ve tried using the script both with Firefox and Chrome and it doesn’t work for me. I don’t see any option for “Download >> Original – Stream – Mobile”. Help appreciated.

    • Core Feb 13th, 2013 at 4:42 am

Check out the screenshots on the script page if you can’t find it.
Also verify that the script is running on the page.

  40. Bobo Feb 13th, 2013 at 4:44 am

Is expressleech.com a viable option to be add?
Got some nice results with it.

  41. defqon1 Feb 13th, 2013 at 10:01 am

my verdict on the situation. putlocker very handy for smaller size. and for streaming while on the go on. netload uploaded rapdgator for downloading premium larger file. ppl bite the bullet and move with the times.. i would be simple if they was only every 1 host but they isnt and not every 1 can be satisfied. £18 for three months rapidgator, cheaper than any other service like sky, virgin, netflix ect. some people are never happy

  42. defqon1 Feb 13th, 2013 at 10:11 am

quick test using putlocker with jdownloader. speeds are quality how can you complain about this service http://images.ddlvalley.me/images/15892084259918199656.png

  43. trekleech Feb 13th, 2013 at 7:42 pm

Multiupload speeds were garbage. How can you even compare it Putlocker.

Oh not to mention these other download options:

    1 – Download original file
    2 – Download Mobile version
    3 – Stream

Now check out the speeds and judge yourself.

    http://img802.imageshack.us/img802/7627/capture2sb.png

    • Timmy Feb 14th, 2013 at 5:39 am

Regardless of the outcome, your logic is flawed.

First, the other options you mention are for premium members (e.g. download mobile version a pro account is needed).

Second, your 2 photos are downloading files 2 different ways. The MU file is downloading through the browser and the PL is through a 3rd party accelerator.

How is this an unbiased comparison?

      • ARMT Feb 14th, 2013 at 6:13 am

Not trying to be biased for either Timmy or Trekleech but on Timmy’s reply – you can download mobile version without pro acc with the script mentioned above , also treckleech’s 2 photos both from putlocker as i dont recall that Wreck-it ralph extras 720p were uploaded to multiupload on DDLValley :).

        • Rhyz May 19th, 2013 at 9:18 am

Sent this once but wanted you to read it so i replied to you specifically =)

Sorry for all the ranting back in march was being a bit of an idiot really…. Just want to say thanks ARMT for this amazing little technique you’ve found!! Once someone pointed out to me that all you had to do was change the filename to .rar/.mkv etc in place of the .0978904738925 etc long number blah – everything works flawlessly!! Basically just change the ‘stream’ extension (which is the long number) to the correct extension….. I will be using this for a long time as it is perfectly fast, reliable and resumable!

Once again sorry for being such tire back then, but you have really found an awesome little trick here dude =)

          Thanks

    • RodL Feb 14th, 2013 at 11:20 am

Putlocker not working for me even with the script enabled on the page. Maybe it’s a location thing? Anyway, please consider Expressleech, it has great speeds for free users.

  44. em3r Feb 14th, 2013 at 8:13 pm

    why not both?

  45. Max Feb 15th, 2013 at 2:09 am

any chance that Bayfile comes back? in terms of security that was by far the best hoster in my opinion. they don’t even store your IP address…and the DL speed for free users was decent

  46. NotFussy Feb 15th, 2013 at 4:57 am

Don’t see what all the fuss is about to be honest, these guys do an awesome job and if this makes life easier for them then I’m happy with what ever they provide. Also for people complaining about not having multiupload any more, I can say from personal experience on more than a few occasions by the time I get around to getting a film thats in 2-6 parts depending on quality, the direct download was sometimes not an option, it might have been 1/6 or 4/6 just depended on luck. Getting 2 links via direct and having to get the rest from slower methods was a pain. At least with putlocker you can just stream it if you want and if you want to download the speeds are fine, well they are for me anyway.

  47. NotFussy Feb 15th, 2013 at 5:04 am

And just to show proof of putlocker not being any slower than multiupload heres a pic. Enjoy.

Try changing your IP. Restart the router/modem, or connection if you have pppoe.

Okay ARMT…… Seroisuly Sort Out The Putlocker Links PLEASE! This is the most frustrating set of links ever!!! Everytime atleast one link will default to something called a ‘stream’ part which happens EVERY time… That script thing does not work properly, it stuffs up the link either making it into a ‘stream’ cutting the parts up into a stream version which CANT be rejoined no matter what, or reduces it down to a ‘mobile’ version. I dont want these, i just want the ORIGINAL bloody link, which is not happening at all with Putlocker.

Now tell me how this is better than MultiUpload…. Seriously Crap man……

Just to prove a point: This is the kind of voting you guys should be doing! –
    “Which do you prefer?”

    Uploaded (26%, 529 Votes)
    Netload (21%, 424 Votes)
Multiupload (Direct Download) (20%, 381 Votes)
    Putlocker (Download) (15%, 302 Votes)
    Filecloud (9%, 184 Votes)
Putlocker (Watch Online) (8%, 164 Votes)
Multiupload (Other Mirrors) (1%, 37 Votes)

Just a poll i found on a forum, that makes sense…. Would have been nice if you guyys did this before axing multiupload, actually give people the kind of acknowldgement you’d expect when sharing between peers…

Ok back again…..

    Thanks
