Audio is out of sync by a couple of seconds

Is this movie even available on any country’s iTunes store? Not on the two I normally use (US/Can). Sounds like fake stuff like most other early “iTunes” releases.

I agree with Arrrgh, XVID in 2014? Just no.

@kilson. You must change FPS for video stream. Someone set there 25 fps but should be 24/1001 fps. You can easly change this in MKV Toolnix.

What Martin said, In MKVTOOLNIX (google it) there is a handy utility called mkvmerge. just open the completed video in mkvmerge. it will show you 2 tracks, 1 video, 1 audio, click on the video track. Just below that click the format specific options tab. From the fps drop down menu select 24000/1001p. select an output location and name (so it’s not overwriting the original. click start muxing. No re-encoding involved so it should not take long at all.

Use XBMC as your player… syncing audio with video is simply a matter of moving a slider!

not only is it out of sync, it continually goes out of sync, so even if you adjust for it in the beginning, about 30 seconds later its gone again

As Martin said above the issue is the video frames per second (fps) it was set at 25fps in this file and it should be at 23.976fps. If the Video is playing back at a faster rate than the audio, then yes the OOS amount will continuously change. But the fix is very simple, MKVTOOLNIX is only about 10mb, the mkkvmerge tool is very easy to use and quite useful to have. And the process of remuxing the file doesn’t take any longer to do than unraring the same size file. (this video, maybe 1.5 to 3 minutes depending on the speed of your system and hard drive.) IMO this file is the best release of this movie currently available, so its worth the fix.

      ^^this! Awesome advice!
Really helpful, appreciate your comment & instructions (MkvToolnix)!
Have some really ancient movie copies which are constantly running OOS – even after adjusting the audio (in/with vlc).
Guess that’s what you call ‘progressive oos’, good to know I can fix this now 😛

      Thx! 🙂
