why waste the time creating these enormous files and uploading them…and then users having to take forever to download them?

It’s a TV show. It does not need to be ultra quality

This site uploads both high res and low res versions. The low res files are much smaller in size (between 400-600 MB). Next time educate yourself on your options before complaining about the one many people care about.

You’ve got 4k TVs around, most people watch shit on their 1080p, full hd screens, why bother? Go get a CRT because it’s cheaper and it’s TV shows so no need for quality, only speed and price matters. Idiot thinking.

go download crap quality elsewhere then. HDTV quality for TWD is bad enough as it is right now. No need to crompress it to unrecognizability.

    +1 @what Biff says above ^^

    ^ ….some people only like ultra quality………..

  4. Jay Nov 2nd, 2015 at 5:01 am

Are you kidding me! Please keep up the ultra quality.

Try searching for the WEB download either in 720p or 1080p. They tend to be smaller files and actually better quality than these versions. Most have embedded subs in the MKV also.

“It’s a TV show. It does not need to be ultra quality?!”
Really?! Why?! I like ultra quality for my favorite show….so THANKS for uploading high res files guys!

Ditto! I love ultra quality and it’s so obvious that there are noticeable differences I can only think Biff watches his tv shows on his iPhone 4 (what a moronic comment!)

    Thanks for the upload

@JJ… REALLY!!! that’s like saying don’t bother using this fine needle I have for you instead go and look for one in the stacks of hay out there somewhere

    you must be joking, right!

  10. cd3000 Nov 2nd, 2015 at 10:59 am

quality is good, but size must be at least 2 times less

  11. beardedbastard Nov 2nd, 2015 at 11:51 am

JJ, please give some links to the 1080p web-dl if you have them. I agree that the size of these files is ridiculous given that they’re only 720p. I can get good quality 1080p at 2.2gb with other shows, so why not TWD?

  12. agibaer Nov 2nd, 2015 at 11:51 am

    3GB for a 720p TV rip is an overkill…

  13. BJDON Nov 2nd, 2015 at 2:47 pm

Why do they always make 720 so Goddamn Big for a This Show. It’s not like it’s a Blu-Ray Version. Anyways Thanks A Lot.

  14. Sandra Nov 2nd, 2015 at 3:17 pm

y el audio ¿de donde lo descargo? no hay sonido 🙁

The grain in TWD makes it more difficult to compress without noticing issues versus the original broadcast. But, on top of that, Killers just doesn’t do good compression on any of their releases because they’re trying to get their stuff out ahed of everyone else. That means really fast low compression transcoding.

  16. cool this site rocks! Nov 2nd, 2015 at 4:30 pm

It is a double length episode anyway so 3.2gb isn’t much compared to a regular 720p movie of the same length.

720p is not ultra quality, if anything the 720p walking dead eps usually look pretty poor compared to most other shows and if you are bitching about download time just get better internet. 3gb takes about 2 mins to download here 🙂

  18. Arrg Nov 2nd, 2015 at 7:20 pm

90 minutes is 50% longer than 60 minutes – WRT specific episode, 64 minutes (runtime) compared to 42-44 typical runtime.

Killers usually does high bitrate, low-efficiency transcodes and their 40-minute TWD episodes are always over 2GB. That’s problem number one. Then they cut the credits, problem number 2. Then they always have glitches in the video, big problem number 3.
